I am so thrilled that the kitchen is done. I can't even begin to tell you. The last thing that was left to do was sew the curtains, which we finished last night. Unfortunately they didn't make it into the picture, but will make their debut soon.
I'll start with an interim shot, which is what the kitchen looked like for a good week. I just love cooking with plastic draped all over everything.
And, the finished kitchen...
And a pic of my cluttered counter... various flours, sugar and cocoa for baking, hot water dispenser for my tea habit, notebook filled with recipe notes, toaster, coffee maker... The usual suspects.
I haven't been cooking as much over the past couple weeks, but plan to be back in the grove ASAP. I promise some recipes soon.

It's GORGEOUS! Congrats on a job well done & I look forward to seeing segments taped there soon!
Julie, it's beautiful! I know you're relieved to have it completed. Have a blast!
Your kitchen looks fantastic Julie! I applaud a work well done. It looks so nice and organized, and somewhere I would want to spend my time cooking in. =)
Great Remodel Julie - I see I'm not the only one who has a good supply of those fantastic Ikea jars!
Georgous kitchen, Julie! Looking forward to seeing more of it in your segments. Keep the recipes coming!!!
Awesome! The kitchen looks great Julie! I hear you on counter clutter. I have herbs and spies, a food processor, a blender, a rocket blender, the kettle, the toaster, the phone, the answering machine and that's just the big stuff!
Thanks for the well wishes for Charlotte. She seems to be on the mend :)
It's beautiful! I'm so thrilled for you.... having such a wonderful environment to create your lovely food!
oh, a brand new kitchen - that is so exciting. I've been straining my eyes to find this "clutter" that you speak of and I just can't find it.
wow, it looks gooorgeous! I'm sure it makes the food taste sweeter, too!

Your hard work paid off, your kitchen is beautiful. I can't wait to see what wonderful creations come out of this beautiful room.
BEAUTIFUL! i can't even begin to explain my jealousy!
I wish my kitchen was half as organized as yours. It looks great.
Congrats on the new kitchen! It looks wonderful.
I bet you can't wait to get cooking!
Looks MAH-ve-lous. COngrats and enjoy it.
is that yellow? i almost think it might be, but then i look at it again and this maybe it was just lighting or my computer....in any case, i love yellow kitchens!
but it's not yellow, well, good job anyways, it looks lovely!
It's simply gorgeous! Fresh and vibrant :) And light colours always make a room look bigger :)
Great job you guys! I so understand how happy you must be that it's done!

and somehow, I feel like eating a lemony dessert... LOL
Oh wow, Julie! It looks great! I love the open shelving. And the granite countertops! (I'm a geologist and appreciate those kinds of things :-) I'll bet your super excited about getting back to cooking in it!
I adore your kitchen! And the colour is gorgeous! Where I live now, the kitchen is too small and I find it quite frustrating at times. I dream of a kitchen that is large and airy. Enjoy!!
Julie! I could stare and stare at these photos. Next meet up at your place - it was so good seeing you!
omg julie. y'all painted the ceiling! So brave and industrious you are, and it looks fresh and bright and gorgeous.
thanks for sharing the transformation with us!

It's so lovely! The color is perfect: light and bright and inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, gorgeous kitchen! The color looks really luminous, it must make the kitchen a whole lot brighter (lack of light in kitchens is my pet peeve).
Seeing your kitchen makes my house hunt even harder!!! I just need to see the potential in some of the kitchens I have seen...
I am so jealous. My dinky little european kitchen is just about big enough for me and one mixing bowl. Ahhhhh....how I (sometimes) miss North America.
Great photos.
Your new kitchen looks lovely. I love a kitchen with a window over the sink, I like to daydream when I do the dishes.
