A Call For Testers

I'm in need of a few good recipe testers for the new book. Right now I've got a handful of recipes that are almost ready to be tested, probably in the next week or so. This is just the first round, so if the timing doesn't work for you right now, not to worry. There will be other opportunities for testing to follow.

What I'm looking for in the testers: people who have the time to commit to cooking and testing recipes in the next couple of weeks, are experienced with cooking and baking (preferably with vegan recipes) and don't mind following the recipes to a T. Prior recipe testing experience is great, but not required. If you're interested in testing, just leave a comment here, and an email or a way for me to reach you.

Now, just in case you're wondering what the photos are of, the top one is a chocolate chip swirl bread and the bottom is a mocha java cake. Yup, both recipes are in the new book.

Thanks!!

This sounds super fun! I'm an experienced cook and baker, and I've done some vegan recipes, though not a ton. I don't know what your ingredients are though, so if you use any soy, I wouldn't be able to make those. I also limit the vegan oils I use to coconut oil, olive oil, sesame oil, and a variety of nut oils (no canola, vegetable, corn, safflower, cottenseed, etc). As long as those aren't in the ingredients, I'd be able to follow the recipes to a T. :)

Julie - I'm really excited for your book! Love the blog and the show. I'm very interested in testing. Let me know if you need me!

Hi Julie! I'm interested and have tested for multiple books in the past (Happy Herbivore, Diet Dessert & Dogs, Urban Vegan, and currently Terry Hope Romero's Vegan Latina). Let me know if you need more testers. :)

I'd love to test! I have lots of experience baking vegan, but I've never tested recipes.

I'll be a tester! I'm vegan and always make recipes exactly as written the first time. That way I have a baseline against which I can judge changes when I alter them in subsequent tries.

Besides, you have to pick me because you already promised I'd be the first to know when I can pre-order the book! ;)

Oh Julie, I'd love nothing more than to be a tester for you... Unfortunately, I barely have enough time to make my own recipes right now! Nonetheless, I'd be happy to "test" and review your book(s) at my own pace when they're all done. :)

If you're still looking: I would be honored and I would love love love to test your recipes!

I am quite experienced with vegan cooking and baking and I often use cookbooks/recipes. I am actually trying to remember to be a little less OCD with following recipes to a T, but I'd be more than happy to put that learning process to a halt for a while. ;-)

O, and I have been a tester a couple of times before.

You can e-mail me at coconutandraspberry [at] gmail [dot] com.

Hi! It would make my summer 10x more awesome if I could test recipes for you. I'm going to be cooking and experimenting and trying new recipes as much as possible this summer, and having a few new ones to follow would be super exciting.

I have about four years experience cooking and baking vegan, and it's my goal in life to make everyone admit that vegan cookies/foods are more delicious than the other kind.

I would love this opportunity!

p.s. would we be allowed to blog about it?

I love to be a tester. I prefer testing soup, salad, main dishes, and snacks. Desserts are great but I am trying to cut down.

I also love to test Asian dishes and I can blog it, too (without the recipe).

My father is a huge fan of chocolate chip swirl bread and I always try to bake one for him whenever we see my parents. He has yet to be fully blown away by any of the recipes i've tried. Simplicity is key, and yours looks perfect! Can't wait to try it. thank you for shearing your post.
